Friends Of Normanton Junior School
Welcome to all the “Friends of Normanton Junior Academy”
Friends Normanton Junior Academy is our Parent, Teacher and Friends Association. To be involved, you don’t need to be a parent of a child in our school; you could be an aunty, uncle or grandparent. We all have one objective and that is to raise funds to help support the school through events and activities which will help to make a difference to every child. We would love to hear from you with your suggestions of what you feel would improve the school experience for our children, or if you want to help out!
Our e-mail address is: email@example.com
Alternatively please put your suggestions or ideas in writing, mark it for the attention of “The Friends of Normanton Academy” and leave it at the school office.
The Friends of NJA Committee Members
If you feel that this is something that you could help, with please do not hesitate in contacting any of our committee members or our elected representatives. They are:
Naomi Winn (Chair Person)
As The Chair of the Friends of Normanton Junior Academy, I am very passionate about making a difference to every child in the school. I have three children, 19, 9 and 6. My 9 year old son is presently in Year 5 and my 6 year old daughter will be starting at the school in September. I work within the school as a Teaching Assistant and this helps me to see things as both a parent and a member of staff.
Joanne O’Toole (Secretary)
I joined the Friends of Normanton Junior Academy because I wanted to help make a positive impact on the pupils' time here. I am very keen for them to get the most out of school and have fun doing so. Two of my children attend NJA, my third child will be coming up in a few years. Being a parent of the school means I am keen to get the most out of the short time our children are here and to try to make school more exciting for them.
Anna Smith (Vice Chair-Person)
As the vice chair of the friends of Normanton Junior Academy, I believe that every child should have the best possible experience whilst being a student at the school. I aim to do this alongside my fellow committee members by giving the children opportunities to be involved. I have 2 daughters, 7 and 4. My eldest joined Year 3 in September so I am looking to support the school in this role on a long term basis. I work as a teaching assistant and always put the pupils' best interests first, I feel this is also extremely important in this position.
Lisa Knight (Treasurer)
As treasurer for The Friends of Normanton Junior Academy I hope to help give children the best possible experience during their time at the school. I have four children, a 10 year old in year 5, a 7 year old due to join the school in September, and 5 year old twins who will move to NJA the following September.
