Our Curriculum
NJA Curriculum Intent Statement
The aim of the Normanton Junior Academy curriculum is to provide all pupils with immersive learning experiences that ensure pupils are not only engaged but are eager to drive their own learning. We place great emphasis on learning in context through real world scenarios and experiences and on making a tangible difference to the local community.
We believe it is imperative that key values are instilled in all our pupils so that they are well placed to develop into good citizens and are well prepared for life in modern Britain. Our curriculum is designed to raise aspirations by exposing children to different paths to a successful future whilst promoting physical and mental health and wellbeing.
School values:
- We work together
- We make a difference
- Everyone learning
- We have high standards
- We have respect for all
